Description
Healthy chocolate banana bread that is moist, rich, and easy to make using ripe bananas, oat flour, and cocoa powder.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas mashed
2 large eggs
1/4 cup nut butter (almond or peanut)
1/3 cup sweetener (brown sugar or coconut sugar)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
1 1/2 cups oat flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper
2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth
3. Add eggs nut butter sweetener vanilla and salt and mix well
4. Stir in oat flour cocoa powder and baking powder until batter forms
5. Fold in chocolate chips evenly
6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan
7. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
8. Allow the bread to cool before slicing
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for best flavor
Sunflower seed butter works for nut free option
Store banana bread in airtight container for up to 3 days
