Description
This buckeye brownie recipe is rich, simple, and layered with chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and a glossy chocolate topping.
Ingredients
1 box brownie mix (for 9x13 pan)
Ingredients required on box (eggs, oil, etc.)
2 cups powdered sugar
½ cup butter, softened
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
Instructions
1. Bake the brownie mix in a 9×13 pan according to box directions and let it cool completely.
2. Mix powdered sugar, ½ cup butter, and peanut butter in a bowl until thick and creamy.
3. Spread the peanut butter mixture over the cooled brownies and pat it down evenly.
4. Melt chocolate chips and remaining butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
5. Spread chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer.
6. Let the entire pan cool or chill in the fridge until the top layer sets.
7. Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Store covered in the fridge for up to 5 days.
To freeze, wrap each cooled square in plastic and store in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
