Bold, smoky, and easy — these Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joes are packed with flavor and ready in 45 minutes.
Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
½ cup chicken broth
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
½ tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp brown sugar
Salt and pepper
Hot sauce (optional)
4 burger buns
Instructions
1. Cook chicken in olive oil until browned.
2. Add onion and bell pepper; cook until soft.
3. Add garlic and seasonings; stir well.
4. Pour in tomatoes and broth; simmer until thickened.
5. Toast buns and serve the mixture hot.
Notes
Substitute turkey or lentils for chicken.
Adjust spice level to taste.
