Description
Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs are creamy, bold, and topped with perfectly seasoned shrimp. A flavorful Southern-inspired appetizer perfect for parties and holidays.
Ingredients
6 large eggs
12 small to medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon or yellow mustard
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, divided
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Paprika for garnish
Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Boil eggs for 10–12 minutes, then cool in an ice bath and peel.
2. Slice eggs in half and remove yolks.
3. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook shrimp with remaining Cajun seasoning for 2–3 minutes per side.
5. Pipe or spoon filling into egg whites.
6. Top each with one shrimp.
7. Garnish with paprika and parsley.
8. Chill 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use older eggs for easier peeling.
Do not overcook shrimp.
Adjust Cajun seasoning for desired spice level.
Store refrigerated up to 2 days.
Not suitable for freezing.
