Ingredients
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
½ cup oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup hot water
2 cups strawberries
1 cup butter
3 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180°C and prepare pans
2. Mix dry ingredients
3. Add wet ingredients and mix
4. Add hot water and combine
5. Bake for 30–35 minutes
6. Cool completely
7. Prepare frosting
8. Assemble cake with strawberries and frosting
9. Decorate and serve

Use fresh strawberries for best flavor
Do not overmix batter
Cool cake before frosting
