A festive and buttery dessert featuring a cherry pie filling and vanilla glaze — a Christmas favorite for every occasion.
Ingredients
1 cup butter (softened)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
Optional Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
3. Combine flour and salt, add to the mix.
4. Spread 3 cups of batter in the pan, layer with cherry pie filling.
5. Drop remaining batter on top.
6. Bake 35–40 minutes or until golden brown.
7. Cool, drizzle with glaze, slice, and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freeze for up to 3 months.
