Description
Soft and fluffy Cinnamon Rolls Red Velvet Edition with a rich cocoa flavor and creamy frosting.
Ingredients
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
¼ cup sugar
2 ¼ tsp yeast
1 cup warm milk
¼ cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp red coloring
½ tsp salt
½ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
¼ cup butter (filling)
4 oz cream cheese
2 tbsp butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
1. Mix warm milk and yeast and let sit until foamy
2. Add sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and coloring
3. Mix in flour, cocoa, and salt then knead dough
4. Let dough rise until doubled
5. Roll out dough and spread butter and cinnamon sugar
6. Roll tightly and slice into rolls
7. Let rolls rise again
8. Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes
9. Prepare frosting and spread over warm rolls
Notes
Use beet powder instead of artificial coloring
Do not overbake
Frost while warm for best texture
