Description
Tender chicken cooked in a creamy sauce with apples, onions, and thyme — a classic Normandy-style comfort dish.
Ingredients
6 chicken thighs
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
1 onion, sliced
2 apples, peeled and sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Sear seasoned chicken in butter until golden.
2. Remove and sauté onions and apples.
3. Add garlic, deglaze with broth, stir in mustard and thyme.
4. Return chicken and pour in cream.
5. Simmer or bake 30 minutes until thickened.
6. Garnish and serve warm.
Notes
Replace wine with broth or mild vinegar.
Use coconut milk for dairy-free option.
Pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes or baguette.
