Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 large eggs, room temperature
2½ tsp vanilla extract
2 cups cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
⅔ cup sour cream
2 tbsp granulated sugar for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9-inch pan.
2. Mix melted butter and sugar until smooth; add eggs and vanilla.
3. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
4. Combine dry and wet ingredients; fold in sour cream.
5. Pour batter into pan, sprinkle with sugar, and bake for 30–35 minutes.
6. Cool before slicing and serving.
