Description
Smoked Salmon Bagel Sandwich made with toasted bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon, fresh vegetables, capers, dill, and lemon. A quick and amazing brunch or lunch recipe ready in 20 minutes.
Ingredients
2 fresh bagels
4–6 oz smoked salmon
4 tbsp cream cheese
½ small red onion, thinly sliced
1 medium tomato, sliced
½ cucumber, thinly sliced
1–2 tbsp capers, drained
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1–2 tsp fresh lemon juice
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Slice the bagels in half and lightly toast until golden.
2. Spread cream cheese evenly over each bagel half.
3. Layer smoked salmon slices over the bottom halves.
4. Top with tomato, cucumber, red onion, and capers.
5. Sprinkle fresh dill over the vegetables.
6. Squeeze lemon juice lightly on top and add black pepper.
7. Place the top bagel halves over the fillings, slice, and serve immediately.
Notes
Use room-temperature cream cheese for easy spreading.
Pat tomato and cucumber slices dry to prevent soggy bagels.
For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese or Greek yogurt spread.
Everything bagels add extra flavor to the sandwich.
Assemble just before serving for best texture.
