Creamy, buttery sweet potato casserole recipe topped with a crunchy pecan streusel or gooey marshmallows — perfect for holidays or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
4–5 medium sweet potatoes
½ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans
⅓ cup flour
⅓ cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter for topping
Instructions
1. Boil or bake sweet potatoes until tender.
2. Mash with butter, brown sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla, and spices.
3. Spread mixture in baking dish.
4. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over casserole.
5. Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
6. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Add mini marshmallows during the last 10 minutes of baking for a gooey finish.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
